2 days Akagera national park

This 2 days safari takes you to Rwanda’s only savanna park Akagera national park popular for the concentration of the African big 5 animals that is lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalos and leopards. You are also in position to see antelopes, zebras, giraffes and hippos among others.

Day 1: transfer to Akagera national park

On arrival at the airport or from your hotel in Kigali, your guide will pick you and drive you to Akagera national park where you will have a chance to see beautiful landscapes along the way to the park. On arrival, have lunch and later drive to the park for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you expect to see many hippos on the lake, sometimes crocodiles and many bird species. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: game drive and transfer back to Kigali

Wake up early for breakfast and later embark on your journey to the park for the morning game drive, this will take hours of searching for wildlife such as elephants, rhinos, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras and many antelope species. Have lunch in the park and later exit to drive back to Kigali for your flight or to your booked hotel.
