Itinerary
Day 01 :
Transfer to Akagera national park
- Guide picks you up at Kigali airport or your hotel.
- Drive to Akagera National Park.
- See beautiful landscapes en route.
- Arrive and have lunch.
- Take a boat cruise on Lake Ihema.
- Spot hippos, sometimes crocodiles, and many birds.
- Drive back to the lodge.
- Dinner and overnight.

Day 02 :
Full day game drive
- Early breakfast at the lodge.
- Head to the park for a savanna experience.
- Morning game drive in northern Akagera (open savanna).
- Hope to spot lions and other big cats.
- Search for rhinos, giraffes, buffalos, elephants, zebras, impalas, and leopards (if lucky).
- Park has the African Big 5.
- On a lucky day, complete your Big 5 quest.
- Lunch in the park.
- Continue with game drive.
- Return to lodge late afternoon or early evening.

Day 03 :
Transfer to Nyungwe national park
- After an early morning game drive, leave the lodge.
- Drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park.
- See beautiful landscapes and rolling hills with terraces.
- Journey takes 6–7 hours.
- Have lunch along the way.
- Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon.
- Relax at the lodge.

Day 04 :
Chimpanzee tracking
- Morning breakfast.
- Drive to park headquarters for registration and briefing.
- Get assigned a group and ranger guide.
- Start chimp trek.
- Once chimps are found, enjoy one hour of viewing and photographing.
- Drive back to the lodge.
- Relax at the lodge

Day 05 :
Transfer to volcanoes national park
- Breakfast at the hotel.

- Return to the lodge in the evening.
- Relax and have dinner.

Day 06 :
Gorilla Trekking
- Wake up and have breakfast.
- Receive packed lunch from the lodge.
- Guide drives you to park offices.
- Complete registration and briefing.

- After finding the animals, enjoy 1 hour of viewing and photographing.
- Drive back to the hotel.
- Relax and prepare for the next day.

Day 07 :
Golden monkey tracking
- Drive to the park for registration and briefing.
- Head into the forest for golden monkey trekking.
- Enjoy 1 hour of viewing and photography.
- Return to the lodge for relaxation.

- Retire at the hotel

Day 08 :
Transfer to Lake Kivu
- Wake up for early morning "lazy breakfast".
- Guide drives you to Lake Kivu.
- Lake Kivu is one of Rwanda’s most beautiful lakes.

- Relax at the lodge

Day 09 :
Optional activities and transfer to Kigali
- Breakfast in the morning
- Opt to do optional activities such as the coffee experience, boat cruise, kayak and canoeing among others.
- Later have lunch and transfer to Kigali.

Kigali City Tour
- Lazy breakfast at the hotel.
- Start city tour with your guide.
