This 2 days safari takes you to Rwanda’s only savanna park Akagera national park popular for the concentration of the African big 5 animals that is lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalos and leopards. You are also in position to see antelopes, zebras, giraffes and hippos among others.
Itinerary
Day 01 :
Transfer to Akagera national park
- Your guide picks you up at the airport or your Kigali hotel.
- Drive to Akagera National Park.
- See beautiful landscapes along the way.
- Arrive, have lunch.
- Drive to the park for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema.
- See hippos, sometimes crocodiles, and many birds.
- Drive back to the lodge.
- Dinner and overnight.
Accommodation: Akagera rhino lodge
Day 02 :
Game drive and transfer back to Kigali
- Wake up early for breakfast.
- Embark on a morning game drive in the park.
- Search for elephants, rhinos, giraffes, lions, leopards, zebras, and antelopes.
- Have lunch in the park.
- Exit and drive back to Kigali.
- Proceed to your flight or booked hotel.
