This 7 days wildlife and gorilla safari takes you 3 among the 10 national parks in Uganda. This will take you to Queen Elizabeth national park in exploration of all the sectors that is to say the northern and the southern sectors. Majorly the savanna park gives you a chance to spot various animals such as elephants, leopards, lions, buffalos and kobs among others before you proceed to Bwindi national park for your ultimate gorilla experience. You will then wind your safari up with Lake Mburo national park the smallest savanna national park in Uganda where you will have a chance to see zebras, implas, bushbucks, waterbucks, giraffes and other animals.
Itinerary
- Pick up from your hotel after breakfast
- Stop at the Equator for photos and a short break
- Lunch break in Mbarara
- Drive through stunning valleys with tea & banana plantations
- Evening arrival – check in at the lodge
- Optional: Evening game drive (depending on arrival time)
- Overnight: Kazinga Wilderness Camp or Bush Lodge
- Early breakfast, then morning game drive (2–3 hours) in the northern sector
- Kasenyi Plains or Mweya Peninsula
- Look for: lions, leopards, elephants, kobs, waterbucks, buffalos, many birds
- Return to lodge for lunch
- Afternoon: 2-hour boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel
- One of Africa's largest hippo concentrations
- See Nile crocodiles, elephants, buffalos drinking/bathing
- Water birds: pelicans, kingfishers, bee-eaters, hammerkops
- Return to lodge for relaxation, dinner & overnight
- Overnight: Kazinga Wilderness Camp or Bush Lodge
- Breakfast, then drive to the Ishasha sector
- Game drive en route – spot birds and animals
- Check in at lodge, lunch, then prepare for afternoon game drive in Ishasha Plains
- Primary target: Tree-climbing lions (often spotted on fig trees)
- Also look for: elephants, topis, kobs, hyenas, buffalos
- Return to lodge for relaxation, dinner & overnight
- Overnight: Topi Lodge or Embogo Lodge
- Breakfast, then drive through Kanungu to Bwindi (4–5 hours, depending on trekking sector)
- Afternoon arrival – check in, lunch
- Optional afternoon activities as recommended by your guide
- Relax at the lodge – dinner & overnight
- Overnight: Bweza Gorilla Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Haven
- Early breakfast – packed lunch provided
- Drive to park offices for briefing (dos and don'ts)
- Assigned to a ranger guide and small group
- Gorilla trekking through the Impenetrable Forest
- 1 hour with the mountain gorillas – watch, learn, and photograph
- Return to lodge for relaxation, dinner & overnight
- Overnight: Bweza Gorilla Lodge or Rushaga Gorilla Haven
- Breakfast, then drive to Lake Mburo National Park
- Lunch along the way or at the lodge
- Afternoon activity: Game drive or evening guided walk
- Look for: zebras, impalas, topis, elands, giraffes, bushbucks
- Possible leopard sighting (lucky day) on evening return
- Dinner & overnight
- Overnight: Arcadia Lodge Lake Mburo or Mihingo Lodge
- Early breakfast, then short morning game drive before exiting the park
- Exit through Nshara Gate
- Journey back to Kampala/Entebbe begins
- Lunch en route (Equator or Masaka, depending on timing)
