5 days chimps and gorillas Rwanda safari

This 5 days short safari takes you to Rwanda’s popular primate parks where you will have the chance to see the popular apes that is gorillas and chimpanzees in their habitats. This is suitable for someone who is interested in these primates and doesn’t have a long time in country.

Day1: transfer to Nyungwe forest national park

After breakfast, your guide will pick you and drive you to nyungwe forest national park a journey of about 4 hours. You will reach later in the afternoon to have lunch. You then have the rest of the afternoon to rest and relax as you get ready for the chimp trekking the next day. Dinner and overnight at the lodge

Day 2: chimp trekking

After your morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. You will then be assigned a group and ranger guide who will take you through the chimp trek activity. On allocating the chimps, you will have an hour of viewing and photographing these apes. After the trek you will drive back to the lodge for relaxation:

Day 3: drive to volcanoes national park

On this day you will say farewell to Nyungwe national park and you drive to volcanoes national park for yet another adventure. Reach the park in time for lunch or have lunch en-route. Check in at the hotel and have a relaxed evening.

Day 4: gorilla tracking

Wake up to your served breakfast and after you will be handed your packed lunch from the lodge. Your guide will drive you to the park offices for the registration and briefing after which you will be assigned a group and a ranger guide to take you through the experience . the activity normally takes between 2 to 6 hours of trekking where you will be assigned 1 hour of viewing and photographing these animals after you find them. After the trek, you will drive back to the hotel for relaxation as you prepare for the next day.

Day 5: drive back to Kigali

On this last day you will drive back to Kigali through the beautiful hills dotted with scenic hills and mountains. This journey takes about 2 to 3 hours and on reaching Kigali you have ab city tour through the beautiful Kigali city and after you will be dropped to your hotel or at the airport depending on your flight arrangements.

Day 1; canopy walk on arrival in Nyungwe national park

Day 4: visit to the Dian Fossey museum or visit to Ibyiwachu cultural village
