10 days Rwanda exclusive tour
This 10 days safari takes you to Rwanda’s most iconic and popular destinations where you will go to Akagera national park for the big 5, Nyungwe national park for the chimps, volcanoes national park for gorillas and golden monkeys, Lake Kivu for relaxation and finally the city tour. All this gives you the chance to visit the most popular destinations in Rwanda.
Day 1: transfer to Akagera national park
On arrival at the airport or from your hotel in Kigali, your guide will pick you and drive you to Akagera national park where you will have a chance to see beautiful landscapes along the way to the park. On arrival, have lunch and later drive to the park for a boat cruise on Lake Ihema where you expect to see many hippos on the lake, sometimes crocodiles and many bird species. Drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: full day game drive
You will have an early morning breakfast at the lodge and then head to the park for your savanna experience where you expect to see different types of animals in the park. You will start with an early morning game drive in the northern part of Akagera national park since it’s an open savanna and we hope to spot the big cats such as lions. You will spend time in the park visiting different tracks as you search for wildlife like the rhinos, giraffes, buffalos, elephants, zebras, impalas and leopards on a lucky day. Keep in mind that this park has the African big 5 and on a lucky day you can complete your big 5 quest. You will have lunch in the park and then proceed with a game drive returning to the lodge late in the afternoon or early evening.

Day 3: transfer to Nyungwe national park
After an early morning game drive at the lodge, you will embark on a journey to Nyungwe forest national park through beautiful landscapes and beautiful rolling hills dotted with terraces. The journey takes about 6 to 7 hours and you will have lunch along the way. Reach at your lodge later in the afternoon and relax at the lodge.

Day 4: chimpanzee tracking
After your morning breakfast, you will drive to the park headquarters for registration and briefing. You will then be assigned a group and ranger guide who will take you through the chimp trek activity. On allocating the chimps, you will have an hour of viewing and photographing these apes. After the trek you will drive back to the lodge for relaxation:

Day 5: transfer to volcanoes national park
You will have breakfast from the hotel and after your guide will pick you up to embark on your journey to the next destination. The drive goes through hills with beautiful views of the landscapes and hills. Reach the lodge in the afternoon and have lunch. Check in and later have a visit to the Dian Fossey museum. Return to the lodge in the evening for relaxation and dinner.

Day 6: gorilla tracking
Wake up to your served breakfast and after you will be handed your packed lunch from the lodge. Your guide will drive you to the park offices for the registration and briefing after which you will be assigned a group and a ranger guide to take you through the experience. The activity normally takes between 2 to 6 hours of trekking where you will be assigned 1 hour of viewing and photographing these animals after you find them. After the trek, you will drive back to the hotel for relaxation as you prepare for the next day.

Day 7: golden monkey tracking
Another day for the jungle adventure into the volcanoes national park on your quest for the golden monkeys, you will drive to the park for registration and briefing and you will head into the forest for the trek. Again you will be allowed 1 hour of viewing and photography when you meet these little but very interesting monkeys. Return to the lodge later for relaxation. You can opt to visit the craft markets around before you retire at the hotel.

Day 8: transfer to Lake Kivu
You will have a lazy breakfast before your guide drives you to the next destination, Lake Kivu which is one of the most beautiful lakes in Rwanda. You will reach in time for lunch and then check in at the hotel. Relax at the lodge.

Day 9: optional activities and transfer to Kigali
After breakfast in the morning you can opt to do optional activities such as the coffee experience, boat cruise, kayak and canoeing among others. You will later have lunch and transfer to Kigali.

Day 10: city tour
You will have a lazy breakfast at the hotel and later start a city tour with your guide, this tour takes you to the Kigali genocide memorial museum, local markets and local restaurants then after you will be driven to the airport for your flight back home.
