4 days gorilla tracking and golden monkeys

This 4 short safari takes you in 2 countries where you will have a chance to do gorilla tracking in Uganda’s Bwindi impenetrable forest and after cross to Rwanda for golden monkey tracking in Rwanda’s volcanoes national park. This gives you the chance to explore different environments.

Day 1: pick up and transfer to Bwindi

One of our guides will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Kigali and drive you to Bwindi impenetrable forest a journey of about 4 hours. You will drive through beautiful and rolling hills and landscapes both in Rwanda and in Uganda. You may have different stops for photo moments and later have lunch along the way. You will then proceed to the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight stay:

Day 2: gorilla tracking and drive back to Kigali:

After breakfast in the morning the lodge will provide you with packed lunch, your guide will drive you to the park offices for registration and briefing after which you will be assigned a ranger guide and a group. You will then begin your journey to the forest in the quest for the mountain gorillas. .on finding the gorilla family, you will be allowed 1 hour of viewing and photographing these gentle giants. The trek takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the last location of the gorillas. After the trek, you drive back to the lodge for relaxation and dinner

Option: you may go for a community tour where you will be able to visit the Batwa (pygmies)

Day 3: drive to Volcanoes national park

After an early morning breakfast at the lodge, you will drive to volcanoes national park through kyanika border as you enjoy good views of lakes and mountains on your way. You will have lunch at the lodge and later visit the gorilla guardian’s village or visit the Diane Fossey museum.

Day 4: golden monkey tracking and transfer to Kigali

After an Early morning breakfast at the lodge, your guide will drive you to the park offices for registration and briefing after which you will assigned a group and a ranger guide. You will then go to the forest for your golden monkey quest. You will again have 1 hour of viewing and photographing these beautiful monkeys. After your trek, you will drive to Kigali for your flight out or at the hotel.
