4 DAYS CITY TOUR, GOLDEN MONKEY AND GORILLA TRACKING TOUR

This 4 days safari takes you to 3 different destinations in Rwanda and Uganda. You will have a city tour on the first day and later travel to volcanoes national park for golden monkey tracking. You will then cross the border to Uganda for gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest national park.

Day 1: Kigali city tour and transfer to volcanoes national park

You will start your tour with a briefing from one of our guides who will meet you at the hotel and then later drive you to Kigali where you do a city tour to some of the cites such as the Kigali genocide memorial, kimironko market and later have lunch preferably in a  local restaurant. After lunch you will then drive to volcanoes national park.

Day 2; golden monkey tracking and transfer to Bwindi

After an early morning breakfast, your guide will drive you to the park headquarters for registration and briefing after which you will be assigned a group and a ranger guide who will take you through the experience. The trekking experience takes about 2 to 5 hours and locating the golden monkeys, you will have 1 hour of interaction with them while taking photos and viewing.  After you will meet your guide again and drive to Bwindi which is about 2 to 3 hours’ drive.

Day 3: gorilla tracking

After breakfast in the morning the lodge will provide you with packed lunch, your guide will drive you to the park offices for registration and briefing after which you will be assigned a ranger guide and a group. You will then begin your journey to the forest in the quest for the mountain gorillas. .on finding the gorilla family, you will be allowed 1 hour of viewing and photographing these gentle giants. The trek takes between 2 to 6 hours depending on the last location of the gorillas. After the trek, you will then drive back to the lodge for relaxation

Option: you may visit the Batwa (pygmies) after the gorilla trek.

Day 4: drive back to Kigali

Have a relaxed and lazy breakfast from the lodge and later you will drive back to Kigali through rolling hills with great views. Lunch in Kigali and later be driven to your hotel or at the airport.
